Effective interface is very vital in multidisciplinary organisation for catering the requirements of today’s fast track projects with respect to quality, schedule and value engineering. My experience : In one of the project at my previous organization, we released GFC foundation drawings for 60m high steel structure on the same day just after ten minutes of receipt of the input from piping department! Prescriptive fire design is what is designed as fire safety for building, which is, based on national and international standards and codes and that building comes under “code compliance”, so it is acceptable by legal authorities/authorities having jurisdiction and also from other aspects that is: as this building is designed as per codes and standards, so it is a safe building, having less fire risk.
